QuoteMedia currently offers CUSIP  & ISIN data within some request api products as well as QuotestreamPro.  CUSIP and Isin are entitled separately so please ensure that both are specified in requests to Account Managers.


CUSIP via Request APIs:

  • Clients must have an agreement with CUSIP Global Services  in order to receive this data via xml. As noted above, Arizona requires a contact name and contact information to report to CUSIP  to get licensing in process. Confirmation of licensing with CUSIP Global Services  is required before entitlements to CUSIP  data is permitted.
  • Once entitled to CUSIP data on our systems, XML clients would still be required to use the &identifier=true parameter in their xml call in order to obtain CUSIP data within their output.



CUSIP via Quotestream(Pro):

  • As at the beginning of September 2010, only Pro organizations can be entitled to CUSIP data in the streamer application.

ISIN via Request APIs:


  • QuoteMedia is licensed to provide ISINs for North American symbols, if the client has a CUSIP license.  ISINs are just part of the Masterfile data that CUSIP provides (in North America and some other markets).  
  • Clients must have an agreement with CUSIP Global Services  in order to receive this data via xml. Compliance requires a contact name and contact information to report to CUSIP to get licensing in process. Confirmation of licensing with CUSIP Global Services  is required before entitlements to CUSIP and ISIN data is permitted.
  • Once entitled to ISIN data on our systems, requests api clients would still be required to use the &identifier=true parameter in their api call in order to obtain ISIN data within their output.
