If there is a problem with the current installation of Java or if you would like to upgrade to the current version of Java, you may find it necessary to uninstall Java at some point
To uninstall Java, choose your current operating system and follow the steps below:
Windows Vista and Windows 7
1. Click on the Start Menu button (Located in the bottom left corner of the screen)
2. Select 'Control Panel'
3. Click on 'Programs and Features'
4. Find 'Java' in the list of installed programs and press uninstall
5. Follow the steps to uninstall
Windows 8/8.1
2. While on the 'Start Screen' just start typing "Control Panel" then click on the 'Control Panel' Icon that appears
3. Click on Programs and Features in icons view or Uninstall a program in Category view
4. Find Java in the list of programs and hit uninstall
5. Follow the steps to uninstall
Mac OSX
2. Click on the Applications tab on the sidebar
3. In the Search box enter
JavaAppletPlugin.plugin
4. This will find the JavaAppletPlugin.plugin file
5. Right click on JavaAppletPlugin.plugin and select Move to Trash
