An update to Java can occasionally cause your Java applications to have their icon disappear from your desktop.

Please follow the below steps to recover your desktop icon for the Streamer.

Open the Java Control Panel.

  1. Launch the Windows Start menu

  2. Click on Programs

  3. Find the Java program listing

  4. Click Configure Java to launch the Java Control Panel


Configuring Java.


  1. In the general tab, under Temporary Internet Files click the View... button. Please see screenshot below for reference.




  2. Sometimes you have have to re-install the applet first from the Deleted Applications sub-menu.




  3. Select Applications from the drop down menu, find and right click the entry and then click Install Shortcuts. Please see screenshot below for reference.
  4. Verify shortcut recovery by viewing your desktop for the streamer icon.
